How is this different from other hair, skin & nails supplement?

Although many supplements for hair growth contain 5000ug of Biotin or more, we have decided to stick with a lower dose of 1000ug, which biologically speaking is still a rather large dose, considering that the daily requirement is thought to lie around the 30ug mark.

Large dosage of biotin can lead to side effects such as acne breakouts, so keeping the dosage lower just makes more sense to us. It is not always necessary to use more of something to get a better effect, and in fact it is often the case that "less is more."

Additionally, we've added Pantothenic Acid (vitamin B5) to this mix, as it may help mitigate the side effects of high dose biotin. 

Many supplements designed to treat hair loss (also known as alopecia), contain a herb known as Saw Palmetto. Saw Palmetto is thought to work through its action of blocking a hormone known as DHT.

Although Saw Palmetto has been found by some to be effective in re-growing hair, blocking DHT can have severe side-effects on the male reproductive system. 

Similarly, although the herb Milk Thistle can have a positive effect on the health of one's skin, it too can have side effects and could even counteract the effects of the contraceptive pill.  

Thus we have not added any herbs to this supplement. 

In addition to all the nutrients just mentioned, we have also added something called Glucuronolactone, which is essential for liver detoxification processes in the body. In our practice we have found that the health of one's liver has a major impact on the health of one's skin. 

This product is a concentration of nutrients which participate in the biochemical pathways involved health of your hair, skin and nails.
